Very Happy
I could be accused of advertising but I hope you will consider my comments more informative than commercial. I am the English speaking agent for this Auction held in Peer Belgium. It is held only a few miles from the home of the recently and sadly deceased Sire Darco. You will see that I am a particular fan of the Darco Bloodlines and inlcude a variety of his offspring in our own breeding program at home at the Stud Ukeuro. The reason for the posting is to let you know that we exist here on this side of the pond and to offer our services should you ever wish to visit our Island or need assistance sourcing stock in Europe.
There is every chance that we will head over to the states at some point in the future.
Our great friend and breeding associate Gerald Lenearts of Stud Farm Overis in Belgium bred the Mare Woica Van Overis now stabled in The United States. She is being ridden by Kent Farrington and won the Speed Stake at the South Hamilton, Massachusetts, Jumper Classic on Woica van Overis.
This Calvados x Darco mare, Belgian Warmblood, 1999 is owned by Olivia Weeks and was born on the Overis stud farm. Woica van Overis was sold at the 2002 Panhof Peer spring auction for 23.000€ to a dutch stable, and was American Champion of the six-years olds.
Should all this talk of Belgian stock take you fancy either visit our website www.studukeuro.com for more details or visit www.studfarm-overis.be or the Auction site itself www.horseauctionbelgium.be
Thank you for your interest in the posting. Best Regards Caroline Phillips Wink [/url]

Panhof Peer Belgian Horse Auction 21st Feb 2007

The Auction at Panhof in Peer Belgium was again a great success, its rare atmosphere never fails to create good winter cheer. Always attended by many British not only for the Auction but also for the competition running through out the week, On the Auction night Friday 21st February well over 100 Britains took tables with complementary Champagne not only to view but to bid. The selectors had put together a list of 32 outstanding young stock from 2 to 6 year olds.
The top lot a Contendro Stallion went to British buyer Tracey Forest of Stack House Stud, home of the already famous Romanov II under the saddle of Philip Spivey. The Forest’s had bought to youngsters in the 2006 sale the year before and had returned for more. The stunning Contendro stallion has already graded with the AES in the UK .
The second highest lot was the Stallion Eclipse Van Erpekom (brother to the famous Utah Van Erpekom) he was snapped up by another regular bidder from Newcastle in the UK. The black stallion by the sire Darco had created a a lot of interest prior to the sale on a global level with enquiiues from bot Canada and USA . It showed a phenomenal jump during the selections.
Although the highest bids exceeded €50,000 there were still some bargains, a gelding by Indoctro fetching only €4000 bought by the British Agent Caroline Phillips of www.studukeuro.com in Kent. Other buyers included Cechs , Belgians and Dutch. Caron Nichols, Guy Williams and producer Mark Williams were all at the sale, both Guy and Caron were competing in the show during the week long show running concurrently, British riders are very welcome and always warmly received . Caron did not leave empty handed, buying a very nice Burgraff horse and also winning the 5 year old Championship on her stallion Zorro by Kannan.
Guy competed in a number of class’s winning ?
Altogether the sale was attend by well over 2000 people, 32 horses were sold totaling over €500,000 in revenue of which 15 went to British buyers. With an over all value exceeding €250,000
